The Open University Shakespeare Society OUSS was formed in 1989 by Dave Etchell and provides opportunities for members to meet in order to pursue their common interest in the works of Shakespeare. A Spring Day School takes place each May in Stratford-upon-Avon, when the A.G.M. is also held.
The OUSS's journal, A Groat's Worth of Wit, is published quarterly with a good mix of reviews, articles, essays and fun items. It is included in the membership fee. All members are encouraged to send in contributions, and all are welcome.
Further details from the Membership Secretary Brian Foster at brianfoster1@hotmail.com or contact him at 3 Sedgley Close, Middleton Junction, Manchester M24 2SP (tel 0161 284 9029).
